Wildstar Pets

Wildstar Pet Animations

A handful of animations I did for some Wildstar pets. Some people might notice the moonwalking zombie chimp animation is not actually in the game. The reason behind that is so stupid you probably wouldn't believe it if I told you, so just think of the dumbest thing you could possibly think of and that would be only half as stupid as the actual reason.

Frozen Freefall: Snowball Fight Olaf Select Screen

Info

The select screen animation for Frozen Freefall: Snowball Fight.

Neogenesis: Desert Zombie

Neogenesis: Desert Zombie

Definitely one of the strangest projects I've worked on. Some Australian shoe millionaire hired SVS to make a demo of a game idea he had about these desert zombies who, for some reason, could use automatic weapons. His magnum opus would be called Neogenesis: Desert Zombie. The game, as best we could figure, entailed circling zombies in a helicopter and exchanging gunfire with them.

We put together a working demo in about a month, the guy absolutely hated it and shortly thereafter ways were eagerly parted. The end.

Farscape Clips

Info

These are the scenes I animated for an episode of Farscape about one million years ago when I worked for StarToons in Illinois.

Beat Runner - Intro Idles

Info

I really don't have anything to say about this game other than that I did some animation for it.

BurgerFace Assistant manager

Info

Some words of inspiration from the Assistant Manager over at BurgerFace.

TRON - Beta Wins

Info

Cinematic scene from TRON Evolution where cheers nearly turn to laughter as Beta mistakenly revels in applause meant for the inanimate tank behind him. Soon after, Flynn livens up the scene with some spellbinding dialog and gives away his coveted light-up bicycle!

Shielder Death Animation

Info

I bet just before your malfunctioning winged shielding unit carries your lifeless corpse away you feel like a real sucker for buying that extended warranty.

General Insurance TV Spot

Info

I animated one of the very last General commercials before they switched over to motion capture. Not sure what that says about my work, but I animated everything here except for the scenes involving The General's ultra-swanky luxury tour bus.

Having never seen anything I've done broadcast on TV before, I watched and watched hoping to see this air but only ever caught the last 2 seconds once on SyFy The Sci-Fi Channel. A couple of my friends said they saw it though, and I believed them.

Here's a test I did for them before starting work on the actual project:

In a lot of ways I actually like this test better than the final commercial. I think the main reason for that is because I got the final audio from the beginning. On the commercial I had to animate to temp audio with a temp voice actor and then swap in final audio later read by a different voice actor. I probably would've made different acting choices if I had known from the beginning how the lines were going to sound. Still, I think it turned out ok given how short the turnaround was.
